Very nice composition Denise! And effective use of DOF. I like the pose and sharpness. But the whole image could use a slight boost in contrast.
denise, i agree with dough on boosint a contrast or giving it a little curve keeping highlight intact cuz i see a little layer of haze. btw though was not posting i was following and i am really envy you on getting such a great wader life with you. am big fan of waders :)
I love the perfectly balanced COMP but agree that the BLACKS & NEUTRALS could use some more pop via Selective Color. And the narrow d-o-f works great with this motif. Go to bed!
Thanks guys, I think that was the tweak it needed.
Nicely improved. Good night!
Repost looks much better! Great comp, very well balanced with that piece of vegetation. Nice clean beach, and I like the bird's shadow pointed direcetly behind it.
almost what you have re-posted reducing the red bit overall on bg and round of noise reduction over bg. Also i tried to boose a bit contrast on your plover.
Mital, Thanks, The repost looks great!
I like the repost of this beautifully composed image. Great job Denise!
Denise, terrific balanced comp. expsoure is spot on as usual.
Lovely detail and comp, the sea weed or krill (What ever that is:)) really adds to the balance of the image...Great DOF and low angle... Nicely done Denise
Dumay, First off, it is great to see you participating here so actively. You have a lot to add :) I believe that it is some sort of sea grass. FYI, the orange stuff in the image here is a krill pancake. The black dots are the eyes of the krill. The birds are Adelie Penguins and the image was made at Brown Bluff on the Antarctic Continent on one of the most wonderful days of my life. Learn more here.
Very cool shot Artie!:)
Thanks. One of a zillion reasons I need to go back there before they nail the box closed.... :)
Hey Denise, cute liitle guy, and just love the low perspective. Your repost in pane#5 works well.
Artie, great work too.
