Richard:
Good comments from Peter. The camera info really helps our critiques.
There is some noise showing in the background. I might consider toning down the branch as it sweeps above the bird so its brightness doesn't lead the eye out of the frame.
On my monitor, the face could use a bit more sharpening.
Cheers
Randy
Thanks Peter
Sorry forgot camera, it's Canon 40D ansd lens is Canon 100-400
Thanks for critique, I knew the leaf would have to go;) but I need to practice
Rich
Hi Randy
Thanks
agree a little noise to remove, selective sharp on face will be easy enough though it looked pretty sharp to me.
I ran moderate luminance/color reduction in ACR but didnt give it enough.
appreciate your comments
Richard
Superb pose! The bird looks very cute. Wish you had more depth here.
Hi reposting
Got Digital Basics file today - -good stuff thanks A
so, started from scratch, removed green leaf at base using patch/clone stamp
burned top branch
NR on background (inverted selection of bird)
unsharp mask at end of flow
what do you think ?
Rich
Hmm thanks
I have learned a lot today
I did run NR on the BG in CS5, I used the magic wand to select the bird/invert , then ran NR, looks like I didnt give BG enough.
no worries will sort but not going to repost again now
thanks all for guidance
Rich
