This image of an Egret in flight was taken at Canaveral National Seashore on Merritt Island last week. The effect reminds me of nighttime dreams, many of us may have had in the past, with the arrival of the annual migration to our areas and the start of the new year of shooting! :D
Modifications included; DAP Aquarell, and in CS4; Surface Blur with maximum setting for Pixels and 54 for Threshold; slight Motion Blur and Vibrance full adjustment.
Enjoy!

Hi Mark, this is an interesting composition. The dream effect itself is nice. I wish the near wing of the egret was not overexposed. Maybe bringing back a bit of white in the head may balance it a better, IMHO.

Mark, This does have a very dreamy, ethereal look to it.

Mark, I agree w/ Indranil regarding the head. I do like the colors, especially the lavender. I think the natural border is nice. It might be nice to see some hint of detail in the front wing.

I like the dreamy look. Do wish the head and neck had some more punch. Nice framing and border treatment.
