I missed most of this week but did manage to complete one image for the theme. I took this at the local farmers' market(I always make sure to take my camera along when I go there in case I find something worth photographing ;)). On this occasion, I noticed a starling perched on top of this weather vane and thought it might make a good photo.
The sky was all clear, so I added one of my cloud textures to add more interest to it. I actually applied the cloud texture three times, once at soft light with 100% opacity, next at multiply with 77% opacity, and finally at normal with 31% opacity. I then applied another of my textures to add the vignette and darken the whole image a bit.

Hey Chris, You are really loving that cloud texture; it reminds me of some 1940s wallpaper. As for the image, I am--if you will pardon somewhat of a pun--up in the air about it.
I will be missing all here for about a week as I am in Anchorage headed for Katmai and bears :) Have fun till I get back.

Christopher, I really like the way you put the image together. It has a bit of whimsy and I like the different perspective.:)

Really love the texture and feel of the sky, all the layers together have produced the goods.

I'm liking it a lot Christopher. I like the perspective that your POV gives here - looking up in mimicry of what the bird is doing to see that awesome sky. Love the sky textures and clouds!

Very interesting perspective, Christopher. I like the elements of the composition. The sky looks great with that texture.
