This week is over and lots of fantastic blurred images, in camera and in computer. Congrats to all winners and entrants. I really didn;t have much luck with in-camera blurs and now see how tough they can be. PP blurs easier and can give some great results. These are the three ideas I had this week none that I thought were ok to submit...which ones do you like, if any and why?
The centre one is an in-camera...other two are made with CS4

All of them in their own way, Paul.
Maybe only comment I would have on the first two, related to the theme, is I would have blurred the subject a little more. I personally like them, but think the subject is too strong for the intent of the theme... In my view only.
The first one looks like it is layered with subject layer on top. I would have switched the layers, if it were mine. That might have been all that is needed to take it from great to Fantastic. ;) :D
You know I would like the last one! My kind of image... ;)
The one thing I learned this week about PP zoom blurs is I expanded the canvas off frame to position the zoom focus point. Then I cropped the image back to remove the extra canvas. That helped greatly in positioning the focal point and save the image area. I don't know if that is what you did in the second one, but note it for others if they wondered.
Next time don't be shy! We all win and loose from time to time. You have some nice images both here and in the past. Come on down! :D

Paul, Your glowing edges blur is fantastic and you should have submitted it. The other two are nice also. I think for the first one I may have zoom blurred the top flower on it's own layer just a tiny bit so that it blended a bit more. Your in-camera blur came out nice. I like the way the details in the center came out.

Paul, Mark has a good point - they are all good. As far as the theme interpretation, I would say the middle one is the best. As for the other two - the neon treatment on the right is my kind of thinking for OOTB, but the flower is very nice as well and looks like a "stock image" to me. All good and well done!

I think you could have submitted any of these Paul. If I had to pick a fave, it would be the Neon Glow.

They're all great, Paul! Personally I think my favorite is the first one. I love how the flower shines in it. :)

I love all three especially the two on the outsides of the triage. Together the three images make a stunning display of color and form.
