Wanted to share with you guys and gals her in macro....what I've been doing quite a bit of recently. I am getting ready to do a workshop on these on Oct. 23rd with Susan Candelario.....so we've been working on consistency and lighting more than ever. I have posted a few of these in OOTB (will copy it there Jules:o)....but want to open another use for all of you with your macro lens as this is what we use! I have done individual drops with a hole in a soda bottle(or sandwich bag etc.)....but to get collisions such as this.....we use a device called the time machine. After that, you are only limited by your imagination!.......and tolerance for insanity:2eyes2:! I posted the bubble popping in OOTB....here is the bubble intact....trying different collisions. A ton of chemistry involved too to keep the bubble from popping (glycerine).
This one looked like Saturn to me with it's rings......and the wild mushroom that sprouted!.....as you can see......we have spent waaaaayyy to much time on these!
Canon 1D Mark lll with the 100mm macro at f16 for 1.3 sec and ISO 800 with 2 flashes at 1/32 power and gels covering head.

Hey Roman,
This is one of my favorites from our little session the other night. I really like that we were able to capture so many different shapes inside the soap bubble. Looks great!!!

These water drop photos never cease to amaze me, Roman! Sometime I probably ought to try it myself. :) Love the colors and the droplet formation with the mushroom inside the planet is just too cool!

Roman, wild mushroom indeed! Amazing stuff. :) Does look like you used a lot of glycerin to get the perfect consistency. Sweet!
