This is an in-camera zoom blur, using the 70-200mm f/2.8. I had an idea that I tried out in this one - tell me what you think. I took two images, the first being the twist of the zoom ring, then made another exposure immediately after that one - this time leaving the zoom static to get a sharp version of the scene at the fully zoomed out magnification. Opened them both in PS and layered them, them masked the sharp layer to only let the flowers show through.

I'm not really a zoom blur kind of guy. I do like the outcome though, not sure why.
Thanks for sharing.
Kerry, Very nice zoom blur. I like the way you merged them together and the sharp flowers are placed perfectly in the frame.

I find zoom blurs a little hard to get my head around, sometimes, but this addition of the sharp central flower really works well for me. Love the colours and off central focal point. Terrific.

I like the colors and the sharp flower at the center. I've never done a zoom blur in camera or in PP. I'm not big on blurs but there are some nice ones in the forums so I may become a convert.

Kerry, I like this - especially the light leaves on the lhs (looking at the image) - I never know which is which.

Very nice zoom blur, Kerry! I like the bands of red and greens from the blur and the sharp central flower is perfect. Only thing I might change would be to tone down the reds that are above the flower a little.
