Thanks Jackie! Much appreciated. Have fun:)
Jackie, no worries! Enjoy Canada Day. ;) Today is my wife's birthday, so we're celebrating too!
My picks for this week's theme. To me it was all about dramatic lighting, and the subject coming out from the shadows and creating a lot of atmosphere. Thanks to everyone who participated.
So:
1. Chimp Chiaroscuro by Hilary Hannhttp://www.birdphotographers.net/for...read.php?68909. Not a technically perfect shot, but loaded with mood. Liked the eyes in the first and the crop in the second. But kept coming back to this one all week as the winner. Congrats Hilary!!!!!
2. Lioness in Wait by Mark Fuge. Mark always has wonderful framing of his subjects IMO, but again it was the lighting that caught my eye. A bit harsh but still created a lot of mood for me. Well done Mark.
3. Iris Chiaroscuro by Christopher Miller. Lovely delicate treatment of a beautiful flower. Like the sidelighting and the PP, and the repost the best. Congrats Christopher.
I really deliberate over the choices and seems to take me a long time as I know how hard every one works ( and we are all getting better)....:D
So another one for the books......
