Bonaventure Island, Quebec 7-16-10
Among a colony of 120,000 Northern Gannets, this bird seems to be closing its ears to the noise and commotion!
Techs: 1DM3, 500 mm, 1.4xTC, ISO 400, f/14, 1/1000 sec.
Post: cleaned up minor specks on white feathers, smart sharpen (130 / 0.3) on head and feathers
Given that this bird has no HA, it seemed inappropriate for Avian, so I hope this is the right forum! :confused:

This is the right forum for this, Keith. Not many HAP down here! :p I like the soft flow of the feathers in this, and personally I think it's enough to carry the image without any need for eye contact. Would just brighten it up a tad because it looks a little flat as is.
