I added a mini world action to this prickly pear image that I took on the Galapagos. I added a white layer to the BG and masked back in the center. I also added the Fractalius filter Impressions 1 to this.

Nice work with this..Looks like the planet Thorn, near Melmac...nice patterns
Nice work Denise, I like this. It looks kind of like a strange form of armadillo, all rolled up and sleeping. I might lose the one flower that is on the upper right perimeter. Good ootb thinking!
Hi Denise, this creation really works for me! You picked a good subject to apply this effect to with soft colors that are appealing. Finally, I like the misty fall off fading away. Very creative...
Like all the patterns and the pale greens with the nice fadeout in the BG Denise.
Thanks folks-It was fun to create.
I like the vignette and the way it blends with the subject to take away those harsh "mini-world" edges. I keep wanting to see this with it rotated 90 degree CCW for some reason.
No shock here: you are great at making something out of nothing. Do you think this stuff up in the field or when you get back home? Or both? Love the soft green tones and the white BKGR. Quite a turnabout from the reality: black lava rock!
Julie and Artie, Thank you for the kind words.
Artie, Re: Do you think this stuff up in the field or when you get back home? Or both?
Sometimes before and sometimes during and sometimes after the fact.
