Mark, I think the lighting looks like it was difficult to manage in the original. I'm thinking that the OOF areas a bit distracting. Very cute pose and you gotta love that face!

Very humorous expression, Mark! Gotta love it! :D Nice details, and I echo Denise on the OOF areas. I think I might place the bird a little more to the left, looks a little too centered to me as is.

The bird was very close when shot, thus the minimum effective DOF.

Hi Mark, I like the humor in this one. The face seems a bit contrasty to me... As for the bg, I would bring it down even further for this effect.

Agree with previous comments but find the image brings a smile to my face, so that is a good thing in my view. Almost stylized, very nice.
