Amazing story, thanks for sharing, Jamie! Interesting that it took 10 years to authenticate the collection.
Adams family is still disputing the authenticity.
If it's really his work that's pretty amazing. If it's not...someone new is about to become famous!
Even if it is his work the estimated value of 200 million for 65 new plates is ridicules when there are over 44 thousand negatives in the Ansel Adams collection and with his family disputing the claim this story does not pass the sniff test.
This is cool! I hope it is true and the guy gets some $ but the donates the plates appropriately.
It is now thought to be not from Ansel Adams.
