Just returned from the Smokies and the Blue Ridge Mountains. Drove up the BRP up to Mabry Mill, Va. to see and photograph one of the most photographed spots on the BRP, albeit in fall and winter scenes. The summer lighting was too harsh even at 5pm. (evidently, this place seems a better early morning shoot, but this was my only opportunity, so out came the IR camera... and this is the result.

This is an excellent composition, Michael. Love the angled slope with long shadows and how it frames the mill. The IR makes this standout. TFS.

I love IR images and this is executed really well. Quite ethereal.

Beautiful Michael. Excellent composition and I love the look that only IR can give. Great details and contrast. Nice to see an IR image here again!

Nice image and application, Michael
Very fitting for IR. Almost makes it feel cold, as in winter scene. :o ;)

I don't usually like IR but this one is sweet! I like everything about it.
