300/F2.8 Lens Question

Dear all

I have simple question , Does 300/F2.8 Lens of Nikon takes 1.4x smoothly without degrading IQ
Looking forward to buy new Nikon 300/F2.8 VRII version

The lens is far above most others in overall IQ, and MTF. It is still stellar with the 1.4x. Especially, when used at f/5.6 or smaller f/stop.

Ditto - I have version one and acceptable with the 1.7 as well.

Works pretty well with all TCs including the 2x TC in a pinch as well.
Even better with the new 2x third version, the TC 20 EIII .
