I love these Forster's tern as they come out of the water... most of the time with a fish or some invertebrate. This one I guess missed it. I kept it for the nice splash! I took this last year late in the afternoon with 40D and 70-200 f4 IS + 1.4x. Settings were 1/1250 sec, f/5.6, ISO: 400. Removed color cast, cropped and applied usm for the final image. Hope you like it...

Nice image and application, Indranil.
It looks like it could use some sharpening, either the spash or the bill area. ???
But like the image.

Hi Indranil. I really like the action you captured here. Good interaction with the water! I agree with Mark about a bit of sharpening, so I took the liberty of adding a little, mostly to the head and bill area. I also did a small levels adjustment to give it a litte more energy. I brought the peak slider in a tad and moved the mid-tone slider just a bit to the left. How does this look to you? Nice capture!

Sharpening gave it that extra bit of zip Indranil. Like the interaction with the water.
