The story goes that, this specimen was found in a file box in the Natural History Museum, having been lost for years. It is believed to be the ancestor of the previously displayed Yoda Bug, which plagued this board last year. It is the only known specimen in existence and thankfully so!
Modification in CS4 included minimal adjustments after the original flips were assembled. Clean up of the background and addition of an antique background, Shadow & Highlight and Hue and Saturation adjustments.
Enjoy!

Very interesting specimen, Mark! You are so lucky to have been able to document it.
Great job with the multiple flips, the work on the antique background and the framing.

Mark, Nice job w/ the flip. I like the bug you have created . Just a few minor clean ups in the BG would make this ready to print. Great job!!:)

Gosh I'm glad I've never run into one of those in the wild, Mark. ;) I love the flip here. Very cool. I love how you always go out on a limb and don't hold back.

:D Way cool bug Mark! I like the way you did the background - it works great for a museum piece. Now, if you would just put it in a reinforced glass box, I would feel better.

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.
I did read recently that they are thinking of trying to extract some DNA for an experiment to reintruduce and study the liifestyle of this species. You know how science is! You may want to check your homeowner bug control contracts, in case this one get's loose someday! ;) :D
