Kerry, as soon as I saw this I though Pano....I wanted to put more emphasis on the pelican so I remove the other two birds, give the image a lonely look...but your "image your vision"...darn where did I read that...I like the overall blue color with a hint of yellow, reflection of yellow with pelican in it .... nice HDR.
Hope its ok..I made the change...What do you think Kerry?
Kerry, Your sky and clouds have a beautiful bit of turmoil :) and I like the way the lake / mountain line is doubled. Great image!
Paul, this does make a nice pano! My thinking on this one was to feature those awesome clouds, which to me adds to the sense of space here. I also like the tiny bit of blue sky peeking through the clouds in the URC. I do like your interpretation though, and please don't hesitate to experiment with anything I post! I like that and consider it a compliment. :)
Excellent composition, Kerry. Love that awesome clouds... I like both version but the depth and space of the first one makes it more interesting to me.
Kerry, Very nice dramatic sky and the blue color cast is lovely. I like both versions very much but the opening in the clouds at the top have a lot of interest to me.
Lovely vista Kerry, I would crop a tiny bit from the top (just to below the black part of the cloud). Early morning shot? Love the blue tone as well.
I also like the pano crop but that OP is the bomb! You were right to make them your focal point, Kerry. The colors and tones in this are superb. I feel like I am right there enjoying the sunset.
Thanks everyone! Jackie, it was a sunset. I was on the east side of the lake, which is my favorite area there.
Hi Kerry - nice feel to this and like the monochromatic feel.
Pano works better for me.
Well done!!
Hey, Kerry, the clouds are awesome! I love the blues and yellows - an amazing image:)
