Playing around with "replace color" in CS4, after the usual Fractalius treatment. Comments and critique welcomed. regards~Bill

Bill, I like the vibrant colors and the sharp details. I'm not sure about the outline around the front part of the right leg or the upper portion of the beak. Excellent fract. work as always!

Hi Bill, wonderful graphic quality to the image. Agree with Denise about liking the detail and the intensely colored backround. For my taste I would prefer the image cropped a little above the legs. Creative!

I have heard that it is good to crop above the joint. Anyways could the red get any redder. It matches the intensity of the pose and the red eye. Good work as usual Bill.

Bill, the treatment on the bird is excellent and I love the colors you have brought out! The red bg is very striking, I like it. The selection of the bird is a bit iffy in places and the crop seems a little "on the fence" to me - not quite full bird and not quite 3/4 portrait. My feeling is that the crop wants to come in a bit on the bottom and right to move the bird's head away from the left edge. Just my personal taste though!

Appreciate the critique as always, and in full agreement about cropping and selection problems. In this case, I was pretty much at the end of the processing when I did the color replace as an experiment, and was surprised at the result. In any case, the selection should have been done before the color replacement, which would have made a better selection. Thanks!! regards
