First, I don't come over to this form nearly as often as I should. Some very creative
thinkers here that have produced some very lovely and interesting images. I hope mine doesn't bore you too much.
This image was taken while out with Jim Neiger on his boat on Shingle Creek in Florida on June 4th, 2010. I like the impressionistic feel of it.
This image is a reflection of a tree that I flipped so the tree was pointing up. I cropped at the water line to remove the tree and a bit from the right. A slight bump in vibrance and I added a little contrast. I did run some noise reduction on the image. Nothing else was done to the image other than the adjustment stated above.
Thanks for taking the time to view my image.

Phil, I really like this image. It does have an impressionistic feel to it which I like a lot. I wish the top of the tree
was as sharp as the bottom but I like it just the way it is:)

Cheryl, thanks for your comments. I appreciate your input as this out of the box photography is a little out of my comfort zone. Not much I can so to make the top sharper but, I could blur the bottom of the tree some to try and create a little more balance. Do you think that would help or hurt? Thanks again!

I like it as a base image Phil, but there is so much you could do to it IMO. Just start hanging around here a bit more. It is good for the soul:)

Phil, I like the soft painterly look to this. I love reflection shots and the way the water renders the image. I like it as presented, it kind of reminds me of stained glass.
ps- Nice to see you posting here!

Hi Phil, not boring at all and a nice image! As noted above, there are things that you could do but your "out of the box" thinking is a great start. I like the impressionistic feel also, and agree that you could blur the bottom a little. You should post here more often, it really is great fun and can be educational too!
