Bill, This is very surreal. I love it! The wood work adds some interest. Seems like a lot is going on in such a small space-BUT I couldn't stop looking at it!:) A great example of a 3D effect. The wood Heron is the bomb.
Surreal for sure. Poor pelican! The only thing that bugs me is the yellow-crowned cut off by the frame edge... Heck, I would love to see a version without the night-heron head....
William, this is very Salvadore Dali-ish:) Great combinations and perspectives. I especially like the shadow of the wood heron:)
Bill I really like this and compositionally I think it might have been stronger w/o the heron at the bottom. Like the shadows and especially the light eye in the shadow of the back bird.
Bill, This is so cool! Great technique!
Bill what can I say, lovely..very good use of shadows, love the wooden bird at the top...gives it a lot of depth..well done
Bill, I love this one! No doubt that the framing adds depth, but the wooden rail extending back and the various sizes of the birds really adds to that perception of three dimensions. Fun image!
Bill, really nice work with the 3D rendering! I love the feel of this and agree that it might be a bit busy with elements. I too would be interested in seeing a version without the heron eye. I feel that it is such a strong visual anchor that it tend to keep my eye from going further into the image. Very cool!!
Note: After posting this I decided to simply start another thread called Scene 1 Revised. regards~Bill
Wow, excellent 3-d stuff!
Definitely "OOTB" :)
The wood heron and shadow, especially, are exceptional.
