Mark, The golden color in the BG is lovely. A little more separation between the tail and perch would be nice. Seems a bit narrow on the crop- I might add a tiny more room on the right if it were mine, still keeping the lovely vertical.:)
Mark, I love the colors and the pose. I agree with Denise about a tad more on the right. I just noticed that you said you painted in the red patch. That's cool:)

Yes, the area came out green/grey and didn't work for me, so I restored the identifying color to the wing.
