This theme was a bit of struggle for me to get into. I just couldn't seem to come up with any good ideas, until I thought of this acorn image I had done awhile back. I converted it to sepia, did a lot of dodging and burning, darkened the BG and midtones, and added a vignette. Any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated!
Christopher, It's not an easy theme. We will be revisiting this theme again but this time Kerry is going to put together a tutorial that may help us all. I like the effect you've created and the color toning is well done as always. I think for the theme you could take this a bit further if you wanted.:)
Nice composition, Christopher. I like it a lot. I too think you could have gone for higher contrast for this theme.

You have a number of images that might work, the barn is one that I can recall.
I think you could use a little more canvas on the top and right side. I might have taken this darker and added a spot from the LLC aimed in the direction of the URC, adjusting the spot width and intensity until you had it right. The subject would work nice with the light and dark areas on the bottom being "highlighted" as the focal point.
Like Denise said, we are coming back to this, so you will get another chance. I find it fun as it is a matter of fine tuning the light control, which many image don't deal with as much in PS.
Christopher, lovely image, but as has been said above I agree that you could have oomphed up the effect even more for this theme :D
