Kerry, I love the simplify effect on the bluebird! Fantastic. It might also look nice w/ a tighter/horizontal crop. Nicely done.
Very nice painted look to the bluebird, Kerry. Great eye contact. I'm not too fond of all that branch though. To me it distracts a bit from the bird, so I might do a vertical crop focusing in more on the bird. I might also lighten the highlights more. Just my $.02.

Agree with the above, but would also consider running the branch into the URC, rather than the offset position. There are also a lot of cropping options with this image, both vertical and horizontal.
But ... your image ... your vision. ;)
Thanks for the nice comments, much appreciated! :) There are several ways to crop this one, for sure, but I did it this way to convey a feeling of "big world, small me" or some such... ;)
