This image was taken during the day so it was bright to begin with which was easier to work with than the cormorant. I used Topaz Night, then Nik, Midnight - Sepia, and then Nik Skylight for some lighting effects. Is the shadow on the breast a big no, no?

Cheryl, You did a great job w/ the theme. I don't know if the shadow is a big no-no. I am not fond of them. But in this case it doesn't work against you that much. Amazing transformation.
This has turned out very nicely and has a lovely mood to it. The shadow on the chest doesn't bother me over much in light of the overall shadowy feel to the picture.

The shadow would be there, as you still have a light source on the bird.
My only comment might be to brighted the grasses in the back, especially on the left side, slightly to fill the area. They are there, but very dim on my screen. But nice image.
Cheryl, I don't mind the shadow. I like what you have done with this very much. I love the mood and the beautiful quality of light :)
