Omar, my friend's King Cobra. Corrin is a herpetologist and licensed to keep exotic animals.
I'll post the original image in a couple days. Omar is very beautiful, and quite friendly..

I wouldn't want to meet up with this guy!
The curve of the cobra makes an interesting composition, and the lighting on the eye is good focal point. Nice work!

This snake looks distinctly happy! Not an emotion I associate with snakes. I like the finishing on this image, really stands out.

Sandy, this is fanctastic! I love it. I used to keep large snakes and reptiles. Had a whole bedroom dedicated to them at one time! Former VP of Southwestern Herpetologists Society.
I find the mouth area to be a bit startling, would maybe add a bit of the effect to it or maybe blur just a bit? Personal taste, not criticism. ;)

 Eeeeek. Ok. That was my first impression. I just had a close encounter with a Water Mocassin (no bite though), so please forgive that first impression, Omar.
Sandy, Omar does appear to be quite friendly as presented, even smiling. I think it has to do with the round pupil. I have been conditioned to think that round pupil means no harm. It's not right!!!, but that's what I think anyway.
I love the composition of the image as mentioned previously with the curves. I'm looking forward to seeing the original.

This as close as I want to be to him. Not my favorite subject. I would need at least an 800mm and 2x to take that image, if it were in a cage!!!
That said, nice image. ;)

Sandy, a really nice composition and use of filters. I think maybe darkening the mouth a tad would make Omar
look a little less frightening:)

I just submitted the original, unfiltered version of Omar to the Wildlife forum. Several of you asked, and am happy to comply - enjoy!
