Shot this at Merritt Island NWR this past weekend, during a very less than adequate visit. It was boring, if you were seeking either aviary or gator images. A total of one gator, four egrets, one GBH, one Glossy Ibis and one Tricolor Heron were seen, all out of reasonable range. Therefore I put away the big lens and went to my 80-200. This was a collection of natural debris and scum that had collected in a curve formation across the pond. One of the most interesting shots of the day … Believe me.
Modifications included; Topaz Clear, Denoise, Simplify and Detail, along with use of CS4 Poster Edge, Shadow & Highlights, Hue & Saturation and Vibrance & Saturation adjustments.
Enjoy!

It's a nice abstract Mark. I might lose the hot pink and red blob by the LLC if it were mine.:)

The colors really stand out here, Mark! Very interesting abstract composition. I always love the comparison to the original

Looks like lava in water. Think it might be stronger w/o the red in the LLC.
