Gazania

An image of a gazania from my garden - I replaced the color and added a texture from http://www.flickr.com/photos/2780555...803359307/with a soft light blending mode. I also added canvas on the right side because I had cropped a petal:o

Cheryl, That color on the flower is surreal. I like it and the blurry colorful background. I wish that critter had posed better for you, but they do seem to always turn their backs to the cameras. Reminds me of little-kid-think. If I can't see you, you are no longer there.

Cheryl, The crop looks good and the colors are wild. Very different from any Gazania I have in my garden!!;)I wish the insect had turned towards us also. I love the center of the flower:)

Great colors! I like the flower but I think my favorite part of this is the BG.

Thanks, Ken. The bg was kind of muddy so I painted it with washes of different colors. I forgot to add that to my workflow up above.:)

Hi Cheryl! I like the reverse color look and love the bee. Its head is buried in the flower! BG is awesome, nice work.
