Thistle

This was a shot I got yesterday while hiking along a creek. Saw this thistle with a shadow background and it got me thinking... ;)

Used Topaz Remask2 to do the separation, then Detail and Adjust to get the look I wanted. Could probably do something different with the bg, but wanted to see what you think about it as is.

Perfect composition for this week's theme, Kerry! Great colors and details, and I think the black background works very well. (It might be fun, though, to try some other colors to see.) I might take just a tad off the top.

Kerry, I love the black BG and think it really makes this pop. I also like the colors of the thistle esp. the fluorescent stem. I agree w/ Cindy about a touch off the top. Nice work!:)

Kerry - great colors against the black bg. I think it might look nice as a vertical also with the curving stem.:)

Love the colours which are metallic and the black BG, I might play around with some different crops. A little tighter, pano.??? My .02 for the evening.:)
