Kingbird attack tactic

I was waiting for this red-tailed hawk to return to the nest after sunset last night. When I saw her approach, I started shooting, hoping to get a shot of her with prey to feed to the fledglings. Imagine my surprise to find this shot when I got home!

Sorry for the IQ... It was dark and I was shooting with the 400mm+1.4x, which means manual focus. The Better Beamer is the only way I could have gotten this shot at 1/250 and f/8.

That is pretty amazing Kerry. Had to tell from a still image but it sure looks like the kingbird was taking a ride on the back of the hawk!
