Head Strike with Epson 2400 Printer

I am using the Epson 2400 Printer and I am getting head strike just with the black ink all around the edges of the photo. Doesn't matter if I use matte or glossy paper. I have all the correct profiles/paper type selected. This is happening with the top sheet feeder. Any ideas on how to correct it?

Maybe someone can remove this post as there seem to be no answers. I am taking it in for a cleaning to see if that helps. I have researched it on the internet and there seem to be no definitive answers either. Hope to upgrade to the 3880 which has an adjustable platen gap.
