This is an image of one of the Hibiscus in our front yard. Just got carried away and enjoyed the effects of the metallic look of the image.
Modifications in CS4 included; Cut Out, Accented Edges, Poster Edge, Plastic Wrap, Hue & Saturation and Shadow & Highlight adjustment.
Enjoy!

Great combination of filters to get this effect, Mark. It does look metallic - or almost fused glass. I really like the contrasting colors, but not sure if I like the two areas of blue.

Mark, The plastic wrap created a cool look almost like liquid glass. I agree w/ Cindy regarding the blue spots.:)

I like your treatment Mark, looks like raised copper work. I wonder about darkening the BG just a bit to make the hibiscus stand out more. Just a thought:)

:D Seems odd that the red doesn't stand out. ;)
But I do appreciate your comment. :)

Just thought we were hanging out in the mid-tone range, rather than highs and lows. Just thinking of possibilities Mark.

Not a problem, Jackie. Understand your views and appreciate them. We just all have different visions and sometimes we can agree, sometimes we may not. But I still appreciate all comments.
