Nicki, The unconventional crop is super!!! That is what I like best about your images. The pose for this Sanderling is adorable. Very nice HK image. :)

Titus, to get the white BG this is what I did:
I took the picture in colour, converted to B/W and then pulled the blue and cyan sliders to the right. This rendered the BG almost all white - the predominant BG was blue in the original (it was the sea). Any colour that was left I painted out. Hope this helps :)

Nicki, I love this! Let him dance out of the box, no problem!! If he had hands, I think he would be waving his hat over his head like Jimmy Durante and saying "Ha-cha-cha-chaaaaaaa!". :) Oops, I think I just dated myself again... ;)

Another great sanderling, Nicki! :) Thanks for the tip on how you created the white BG. Love the pose and composition. Could perhaps use a very tiny bit of CW rotation because it looks to me like he's walking uphill ever so slightly. Very well done!
