Pros:
AutoFocus, Bokeh, Contrast, IS Performance, Sharp
Cons:
Price (around $2,499)
I had the first version of the lens and thought it was great. The main reason I upgraded was the fact I used the 70-200 zoom more than any other lens and wanted the best in that focal length. My only complaint with version one was that it was a little soft wide open toward the 200mm length.
The verison II lens doesn't appear to having any weaknesses. I've taken over a thousand pictures with it and it's extremely sharp. The contrast and bokeh are both great. I think the contrast is a little better with the new version.
The autofocus is extemely fast. I use this lens with both the 5D2 and 1DIV and it works great with both. Combined with the 1DIV it makes a great sports combination.
The IS is unbelievable. You can easily shot 4 stops below the normal focal length speed. You get some keepers up to 5 stops. I'd say the 4 stop rating is easily true.
You won't regret getting this lens, it does not disappoint in any way.
