As I had applied for and received a permit to shoot in a tern breeding colony last year, I was able to get some neat shots that I wouldn't typically have been able to aces.
This particular shot is of a common tern hovering above it's nest, just after it had dropped off a sand eel for it's partner to feed to their newly hatched chick.
The light was still a bit harsh, but I liked the wing configuration on this particular image.

Well done but oversaturated. I too like the wing postion. DeSAT the reds and lighten the sky a bit and it will be much improved IMHO <smile> lal, artie
ps: A bit off of the bottom would not hurt.
pps: Please try to get in the habit of using photograph and image instead of shot. We are non-violent here at BPN <smile>
