Bill, I think the filter added some interest to the otherwise busy BG. nice looking effect on the foliage and the birds. Do wish the two birds wings weren't merged. I see a hint of another Spoonie or something in the BG above the middle birds far wing that I might clone over. Nice looking image Bill.

I like the painterly look to this image and the raised wings of the two spoonbills. I've been to High Island once* and know how difficult it is to get any shots without vegetation close in the background. Agree with Denise that the treatment helped to make the background less distracting.
* SC Johnson doesn't make enough Deep Woods Off for me to go back to those hungry, swarming mosquitos.

Hi Bill, Love the poses of the spoonbills. Very nice colors and treatment. I might tone down the bright foliage in front a bit.
