Flower Orbs

Roman was nice enough to invite me to his house to shoot with him and his friend Bill. We had a fun time with these water orbs.
We used Rain X and experimented w/ adding glycerin to the water.
I took it a step further and did a couple of layer masks over the original image and changed the opacity of each to create an explosion of flowers.:)
To see one that Roman posted in macro to give you an idea of the original image click the link below. Roman had gotten a bit of the lip of the frame in his to create the brown bottom edging in the orbs. That was done on purpose for a different look.

Barbara, Thanks. The flower was under the glass and the beads of water on top aprrox. 6 inches above flower.

Okay, don't tell Roman, but I do like this one better than his! His is still VERY good but this is so well perfectly balanced and really takes my eye around the frame. I love it!

Really cool technique and love the effect, Denise. The dark bg with purple and white combination works very well here.

Kerry, The flash was on placed on my camera for this shot-but we did have a slave for some of the shots that was bounced off the sides.
