I was playing around with some old files, and used a macro of a white rose for a base. I applied a trirl in PS and then used fractalious on that resulting layer. I kind of like that the top and bottom retain a bit of the original look of the petals, but wonder what others thoughts are. As always, I appreciate all guidance.

Dave, It's an interesting look with the texture and the twirl. I like that you kept a hint of the rose up top. The only part that I feel messes up the flow is the white area that seems to drip over the the beige area at the bottom. Nice color tones and effect!!!:)

I have to agree on that blobby part. I kinda felt it was out of place, but wanted feedback from folks here. Maybe I can play with the position of the twirl. I do like the coloring though.

Thanks Christopher. It's always fun to play a bit and then get others thoughts and suggestions.

I love to do this very thing - so much fun to see what you get! Agree with Denise about the white area and also think the black area could be a bit smaller on the UR side. If you open the liquify filter you could easily pucker the black so it shrinks up and use the push tool to move the white back up a bit. ;)

Hi Dave, this is pretty cool. I love experimenting with different effects like this to see what can be done. I recently discovered some of the other tools in the liquify filter, like pucker and push. You can really get some neat effects. Enjoy playing some more! ;)
