Nice image and application, Denise.
Wish the eye were a little more detailed, but ... nice anyway. ;)
I like this one a lot. The head is remarkably sharp for 1/8 sec. You must have been panning perfectly. Love the pan-blurred BKGR. A contrast mask on the face would make it even sharper and give it some pop and a crop from the bottom would be my choice to tighten it up a bit. :)
Mark and Artie, Thank you both very much for the comments.
Artie, I added some canvas to the bottom so taking it out won't be a problem.
YAW. I just realized that with the bird landing you could opt to take some off the top and leave the bottom as is.... In either case it gets the bird out of the top to bottom center of the frame which I believe would be a good thing for this dynamic image.
Very nice, Denise. Love the diagonal motion and landing pose. Nice sharpness on the head and I like the soft colors. :)
Lovely image, Denise. I wonder if that is what the water looks like to them when they are coming in for a landing? ;) I see Artie's point about the bottom but I also like it how you have it presented. Nice blur on the egret - lovely motion!
Very pretty Denise! I am looking forward to your collaboration with Artie on how to do creative blurs. I find these images to be compelling and not all that easy to do!
Thanks folks. I appreciate the comments.:)
