Due to an accident my tripod legs and Wimberley got scratched up. Paint got removed til the metal can be seen and the carbon fiber has white lines.
Any suggestions on a home remedy fix to get it to look presentable?
Good thing is the camera itself wasnt on it so no camera worries. :D
If the tripod and Wimberly head works O.K., I would just leave it alone.. It gives your outfit a "personality" and is always a good conversation piece..

Wear the bumps and bruises with pride, as its a mark of a working photographer. Many many years ago, I spent to much of my time worrying about my camera equipment, and not enough time working at improving my skills as a photographer. Years went by and I realized one day that I had begun to see my equipment in a new light. I now appreciated my cameras for the photos that I could make with them, and although I try to not abuse my equipment any more than I have to, my cameras and lens have taken their share of knocks, and when I am holding them the marks they wear remind me of all the adventures we have been on together. Of course it hurts for a while, like the time my 24/105 that was at the most - 2 months old. was thrown 10 feet, landing on a concrete driveway, then rolling under a vehicle. I'm reminded of it everytime I use it. Gotta love it!
As much as I would like to leave my gear personalized I fear that rust/corrosion would set in for the Wimberley and the chance for tetanus would increase. :(
