Hi - love the effects and the soft pastel tones - for my tastes the whole flower included - but way nice.

I sometimes take an 'artistic' approach to flowers and not a literal one - if that explains the orientation of the flower. For me, it's about the flower, the petals, the stem, the lines, the composition, stepping 'out of the box,' and the 'big' picture. I appreciate all your thoughts and feedback.

Barbara, Different composition and I'm glad you stepped out of the box. That is what this forum is based on. I do think I would like it more (my preference)with a slice off the top. I love the colors and the overlay.

Gorgeous colors, Barbara. :) The composition works just fine for me. I wonder if it might look even better with the texture softened a bit since the flower has such a soft feel. Just a thought.

Thanks, Christopher - I think that's easily accomplished either by reducing the opacity of the texture layer or leaving off all sharpening. That's a good idea to reduce the texture a tad.
