...in which our hero leaves the dance, exhausted and bedraggled...
This is the last image in my panel of ten. After the ecstasy implied in my previous post, here I am trying to convey the idea that our hero's energy is spent and that his fine costume is in tatters after his night of dancing. He drags himself away, deflated...

There was white sheeting behind the bird, hence the white BG.
Look forward to your C & C's :)
Best to all,

A nice finish to a very beautiful series. The exhausted look really comes through in this final piece.

Beautiful composition, Nicki. I really liked the whole series. I would love to see the entire series on a wall side by side! Let us know when you have that at a gallery :) Very nicely done.

Indranil, thanks so much - I am so glad that you have enjoyed the series!
I shall be hanging the whole panel at a gallery in June - but here in the UK - if you fancy a trip I have a very nice spare room!!! :D
I do not have any of my work from my February trip to Florida on my website yet, but when I do I'll post a note somewhere so that you can see how they look as a panel.
Best regards,
Nicki

Another beauty, Nicki! I love it as presented but also wonder what one or two more feathers in the open area to the left would look like as that area feels a tiny bit empty to me. Beautiful high key series. It seems to be your forte!

Jules and Cheryl, thank you so much for your very kind words.
Jules, I like the white area as I feel that it adds to the hero's sense of desolation - the dance is over and he must return to his mundane life - but that might be just me :D
Best,
Nicki
