...in which our hero grooms his tresses in readiness for the Carnival...
After yesterday's image, here is another in the Carnival series. I have taken the liberty of posting the first image in the panel of 10 in the pane below, in order to give this some context. (Denise, if this is not OK, please remove it!) The idea is that over the course of a panel of 10 pictures our hero carefully grooms himself for the carnival, then goes out and loses himself in the dancing - you will see more of this as the week goes on!! :D
Shutter speed was 1/3 sec.
Look forward to your C & C's as always!
Best regards,
Nicki

Nicki, I love your new series. It is unfolding very nicely. The blur is perfect and so is the color. I need to find a parrot-you have inspired me.:)

I love the image in pane 1. The colors and the degree of blur are loverly. And I love high key. I am confused as to the purpose of the image in pane 2.... Is the pane 1 image a crop and a flop from the pane 2 image?

Nicki, this will make a great panel. The colors are yummy and I like the way the feather is brushed back in the lower left corner - it does look like tresses:)

Thank you all for your very kind words.
Artie, the picture in pane 2 is a separate image. My panel consists of 10 separate images that tell the story of a dancer going to the Rio Carnival. They were taken over the course of four visits to Butterfly World in South Florida last February and I had the story in my mind as I was taking them. I focussed my attention on a couple of the birds and got lucky with the BG as there was white plastic sheeting behind them, thus giving the high-key look! I merely included the image in pane 2 to give some context to the story :)
Best,
Nicki
