Hummer ID

As soon as our bottle brush tree started to bloom, we got several of these little guys visiting it. I thought they were Ruby Throats at first, but these birds are smaller and the neck on the male is more orange than red. Could this be a Rufous Humming bird? Everyones in put would be greatly appreciated.

If this was shot in your backyard, I would say it was probably a young Ruby-Throated. I say this because everything I have read on Hummingbirds say that the Ruby-Throated is the only Hummingbird that is found East of the Mississippi River. It is possible that a Rufous might have wandered East, but it would be extremely rare..

This Rufous made my yard his home since December.
Too bad he went away about two weeks ago.
