This image was taken a few years ago on one of my early adventures, along the Yellowstone River, in Yellowstone NP.
It is another of my ill fated “professional” slide scans that may work in OOTB format. You seemed to like most of the other ones! :D This one I know works, in its original form, as it was been over our couch, for many years, after I had it enlarged. I found the light pattern on the water to be almost more interesting than the moose. While I centered the moose, I felt that the directional light made the image and therefore the rule of 1/3rds was less valid. Sometimes I do bend the rules! :D
I liked the abstract like painted affect of this. Modifications in PS4 included; Cutout, Paint Daubs, Palette Knife, Diffused Glow, Vibrance & Saturation and Hue & Saturation adjustments.
Enjoy!

Nice effect. You comp. adds to feel of "Alone in the Wilderness" I like it and I like that you bent the rules-it works.:)

Really like the PP, and the colors, and the theme, Mark. Although I agree on bending the rules at times, I feel it would have been better not centred! Just my personal opinion:)

Hi Mark,
This almost has the look of a tapesrty - very nice indeed.

One of my all-time favorites of yours, Mark! Excellent colors and the overall feel of the photograph really reminds me of how expansive Yellowstone really is. I wish the moose were a little less centered but wouldn't cut anything off either side as it perfectly frames the image.

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.
As for the Moose, he didn't want to move  and the scene was where it was! :D As most know, I would first choose the rule of 1/3rds, but sometimes life gets in the way. Or the desire to preserve yours, rather than trying to lift up the moose and move him! ;)
Thanks again for comments...

Nice impressionistic look Mark and I love the colours of the water. Like your composition with the moose more or less in the center. Lovely colour palette.
