Beautiful composition, Jackie. I like the subtle color tones and those wonderful sketch lines.
Light and lovely, Jackie. The fracting is delicate and just right. Love the soft tones too:)
Jackie, I love the colors and the frac. work. The textures look really good and add lots of interest. I'm wishing that there was a great big curved stem to fill the right side and give it some balance. Very beautiful effect you achieved.
that's my favorite flower, jacks!! love the gerberas. i like the work you did here with the frac and the textured bg. for me, the color looks a bit much for the muted bg. i'm wondering if it might look better if the colors of the flower were softened?
Cool sketch look to it, just enough detail where it count's...lovely work
Thanks for the comments everyone. D, I had the gerbera standing up using a sleeve and I thought the stem looked a little weird so I cloned it out. Maybe a different crop. Harold I usually agree with you but I liked the bright and sombre together:)
Beautiful colors and effects, Jackie. Defying compo that I'm not going to complain about :)
The most traditional approach would be to show the other edges if we consider the orientation of the center.
But this is not exactly the capital of tradition, is it? :p:D
Jackie, I just love the colors and would love to have this in my files. stem or no stem:)
Beautiful Gerbera, Jackie! I like the addition of the small stem - it helps anchor the image IMO. The BG texture is perfect for this - the two really blend well together.
Lovely work, Jackie! Nice effect on the flower, and love the colors and texture. Crop is quite different and I like it. Not sure whether I like the original or the repost better, they both look good.
