Trying to understand the AF system on the Canon 7D. 1. Do the AF points in the viewfinder represent all of the AF sensors in the camera. 2. Are some of the sensors f 5.6 & some f 2.8 (I think the f 5.6 sensors are for fast tracking while the f 2.8 sensors are for focusing precision) 3. If my assumption is correct, which AF point or points are the f 2.8 sensors. Your help is appreciated. Thanks Dan
All 19 AF sensors are standard precision cross-type AF sensors for up to f5.6 lenses
The centre AF sensor also has a separate pair of diagonal high-precision line sensors for greater AF precision with lenses f2.8 or faster

I heartily recommend both sites to all 7D users as a Manual Dyslexic it managed to penetrate my befuddled brain and I seen de lite.
