I took some blur images of Flamingos feeding. I liked the way they skimmed their beaks across the water to feed. I was told this is called Filter Feeding. Here is a link for anyone interested in more info about this type of feeding. http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/Bi...es/feeding.cfm
I did a fractalius effect using my soft fix preset. Added some texture. Then did an extreme level adjustment and masked back in some of the orig. I liked the frac. sketch lines around the bird. I also added a layer that I created more of a blur with.
I also like the negative space at the bottom.

Denise, this is really different and very creative! There is so much to look at and I like the Fractalius preset you chose. Another cool image from you. :)

Very creative image, Denise. Love the soft colors and effect. The composition and blurring create a nice sense of motion. Personally I would crop some off the bottom, but that's just my opinion. Either way, it's very nice! :)

I have seen roseate spoonbills doing this kind of feeding too. Very lovely colours and PP. Agree with Christopher about a crop from the bottom.

Lance, Thank you for looking in. I have provided a tutorial on my web-site for the Fractalius pre-set mentioned above.
My settings for the camera were
1/8 at f/16
ISO 200
400mm HH
Sorry-I should have included them.;)
Artie and I have already started the Blur Guide. He has done some pretty fantastic blurs and I hope I will be able to contribute as much.:)
