The last picture was so much work I thought I would have a bit more fun with this one. I think I have more white than black so maybe it qualifies???:D
Shot as a vertical, cropped in tighter. Frac with B and W preset, line width set to zero, and blended with the base layer. Masked the eye back in at 50 percent opacity.
Comments Appreciated.

What a splendid capture, Jackie. Love the vertical treatment and PP. And my favourite tight crop:D Just a bit of a catchlight would really nail it for me. Kora

Jackie, I love the tight framing and the frac. work adds a touch of softness w/ some nice detail. I know that their eyes are dark but I do see a hint of light that I might open up just a touch more. I really like the way this one came out and would hang it on my wall.:)

Repost, screened the eye a bit and added the catchlight. Do like it better, thanks for the suggestions Kora and Denise.

Good job Jackie. Looks sort of familiar...hum. I like the first version best. I generally just use a history brush to bring the eye back what it was before the frac. Usually before using frac, instead of adding a catchlight which usually is unconvincing, I selectively lighten the highlights that are usually present, and I can see them in your image. You need to zoom in of course. You probably know the technique: (ctrl/shift/N), then on New Layer dialog box mode: overlay/check- Fill with Overlay-neutral color(50% gray), then use a soft brush, white, at about 10% or so, and lighten up the eye highlights. Don't forget to flatten the image. regards~Bill

Thanks for the tips bill, I did not know all these steps. I usually just use a layer mask. I will keep your workflow in mind and try it next time. Thanks for your help.

Jackie, the repost puts this over the top for me! Lovely comp with both the neck and the body exiting the frame. The tight crop really pulls the eye into the image. Super!
