Here is my first one in Ron van Dongen style... this is a Barleria Cristata I had taken using Canon G11. I used multiple layers to get the effect... created a bg canvas with texture, extracted the flower using Topaz Remask 2. Created an adjustment layer for color balance and changed opacity to get the tone. Cropped and applied usm for the final presentation. Hope you like it...

Indranil, I think you nailed the look here. Very nice use of layering. I like the slight color tone. I might prefer a bit off the bottom and a little more room on the sides-but I also think that this comp. really reflects the Ron van Dongen style better.:)

This is a stunning presentation in my opinion. Love the tones and feel. Your use of multiple layers has paid real dividends for you. I like the crop as is, although I'm often accused of being tight :D Thanks for sharing.

Nice image and application, Indranil.
Like the effect you got. Very nice.
I also like the positioning of the subject, but might have given a little more room on the LB & RB open areas. But ... Your image ... Your vision.

The work in your repost makes a big difference to this lovely image, Indranil. Gives it more room to breath. Love the softness and the minimalism.Kora

Indranil, this is very nice! I actually think the shadow on the lower petal adds interest and I like the comp of the repost. I would be tempted to evict the bright little blob in the URC, down about an inch on my monitor. Super job!
