The cyclamen were bright pink. Desat. Sligh fracting to blur edges. Nik holga noise and edges. Pale pink layer overlay then opacity lowered.http://home.iprimus.com.au/lisid/Images/wow_ootb.jpg

Kora, You really embraced the theme with this image, very nicely done. I like the de-saturated look and the interesting comp.
Thanks for your kind comments, denise. It's a fun challenge:) Kora
Nice image and application, Kora.
My only comment is that if it were mine, I would explore the crop a little in the URC. The top branch is both in and out. I might add a little more image to that area to eliminate the clipped look. But ...
Your image ... Your vision.
Otherwise, nicely done.
Beautiful composition, Kora. Nice texture and tones. I like that special border. TFS.
Thanks for looking and your valuable comment, Mark. I see what you mean about the uppper RC. Will have a try at improving:) Kora
Many thanks for your kind comments, Indranil. Interesting that you like the border:) Kora
Repost of the image. Tried to get it more minimalist but the application of it still
escapes me. Kora

Kora, I think the original is really nice and an adjustment of the image would solve the concern. I don't think you have to get rid of all of the "base branch" just adjust, the top branch, so it isn't in and out of the frame. I think the best solution would be do include extend the canvas to include the junction of the top branch with the "base branch". But ...
Your image ... your vision.
I like the original and the border effect you got. Just have the above comment. Might have to reshoot to include a little more if this is full frame in that area.
Kora I love the mood in this one. Thought of cropping out the base altogether and might add some canvas at the bottom. Just an idea for you :).
Kora, I prefer the original too. Nice color tones and I like the border. The composition looks nice, though I keep wondering if it would look better rotated clockwise so that it's a vertical. Just a thought!
Hi Kora. I like the original look and feel! I do think the top branch could be fixed as suggested, and I would make the border consistent all the way around, but that's just my impression. Nice work!
Thanks everyone. I've taken your suggestions on board and if time allows will give it another go. :) Kora
Gave it another go. Don't know if it's any better. Can't seem to see the wood for the trees anymore LOL. Tried Christopher's suggestion of rotating portraitwise, but it didn't work for me. Kora

Kora, Your repost is nice -but I'm sticking to the orig. I don't mind the way it hangs on the edge up top I feel for this image it adds some interest.
Hi denise, your comments are most helpful. Thank you. I think I need to leave it in the bottom draw now and revisit it when my head clears:confused: Kora
:)you came up with a series of interesting images. i like the unusual placement of the branches--coming in from upper right. good work with white on white. the feel of this image is sad.
